Celtic signing target Stefan Scepovic today distanced himself from a Celtic move.

This comes after Celtic failed to reach the Champions League group stages last night after it was widely reported that the Serbian would be on his way to Celtic Park this week from Sporting Gijon.

When asked about Celtic he kept his options open although didn’t dismiss it as his next destination.

“Celtic? I would be happy to go there, for sure. But PSV is also big club and I must admit that there are even more options.” he said.

“I think that soon everything will be sorted out.”

Could Celtic be ready throw in the towel on the player after missing out on a the riches of the Champions League.

If this move was to breakdown the already incensed supporters will be further aggravated.

Although Ronny Deila is confident of making more signings before Monday’s deadline when he spoke to the Celtic website.

“It’s difficult to get the quality of players that I know the fans want to get and that I want to get as well.

“But I think now, in this window, we will have a signing or two more. In the coming one in January as well, we need now to build up the team so that we can stand in a whole other situation next year.

“Players want to play for Celtic, and those who can develop and take a new step in their career, they are the ones who want to play here.”
