Celtic goalkeeper Scott Bain has been full of praise for current Hoops number one Joe Hart, stating that the former Tottenham and Manchester City goalkeeper has had a phenomenal impact at the club.
Since joining from the North London side, Hart has been Ange Postecoglou’s number one, putting in several big performances, meaning that Bain has been left playing second fiddle to the Englishman.
Speaking to Celtic TV, that doesn’t appear to have affected the 30-year olds relationship or respect for Hart, as Bain was full of praise for the ex England internationalist in his latest interview, stating how significant an impact he has had since moving to Glasgow.
“I think Joe has been an excellent addition to the team.
“The goalkeeper area has a wealth of experience we can learn from him, and he’s a good guy to be around. He’s been phenomenal.
“He’s still got a hunger for the game and wants to be a part of something here. The fans can see it; the players see it.
“Coming from where he has, he is still a very humble guy and has the hunger to do well.”
There were many mixed opinions from some Celtic supporters when the signing of Joe Hart was announced by the club during the summer window.
However, the 35-year olds performances between the sticks have well and truly put those claims to bed, with the goalkeeper looking back to his best once again under Postecoglou.
As Bain mentions, Hart displays complete professionalism on and off the pitch, and it is clear to see how much of a leader he is within this Celtic side, which will be crucial during a tough run of fixtures in the second-half of the campaign.
