NEIL LENNON has confirmed Scott Brown may not make the semi-final after all after admitting the Celtic captain struggled during training this afternoon.
Brown went off with a thigh injury during Celtic’s 2-0 win over St Mirren at the weekend and on Thursday declared he was ok to play on Saturday.
Today the Celtic manager isn’t so sure and will be making plans to field a team without his Celtic captain.
?️ NL: “Brown's struggling. He was out this morning so we’ll assess him tomorrow. Too early to say but he’s doubtful. Mikey was back training so he may come in to contention.”

Brown is the heartbeat of the Celtic side but the bhoys showed last season they could cope without their midfield maestro. Callum McGregor dropped deeper last term and in this competition to compensate for his captain being out.
Oli Ntcham is waiting in the wings and even Ryan Christie can come further back to facilitate Brown’s absence.
Celtic will have no excuses come the evening kick off and it will be up to both Neil Lennon and Scott Brown whether they gamble on his longterm fitness for the sake of one game.
