SCOTT BROWN and Fleetwood Town have caused an FA Cup upset on Tuesday evening by knocking out League One leaders Sheffield Wednesday.
Wednesday were heavy favourites for the tie. The two clubs occupy the same league but they’re so far apart. Sheffield Wednesday sitting in 1st place while Fleetwood occupy 17th.
After the game went to a replay, nobody was giving Broony and his team a chance — especially after the weekend when they fell to a 3-2 defeat to Burton. However, they’ve managed to grab a 1-0 victory and will now be in the hat for the next round of the competition.
Scott will be hoping for one of the big bhoys in the next round. The magic of the cup could cause any kind of upset.
More realistically, the Celtic legend will be hoping that this result will be a catalyst to turn their league form around. The team have been shipping late goals and find it it difficult to hold onto a lead.
