SCOTT BROWN will be due to answer for his actions in the Glasgow Derby game nearly a month after he caused the biggest meltdown of the season when The Rangers couldn’t handle the heat at Celtic Park.

The hearing has been set for Friday, April 26th.

The Celtic captain was the star of the show as he smiled, laughed and generally wound up his opponents (all within the rules of a game). Meanwhile, the Ibrox team had a man sent off for Morelos elbowing Brown, another man retrospectively banned for throwing a punch at him and Halliday sent off in the tunnel for trying to cause a riot.

Brown played them all.

Celtic won 2-1 on the day thanks to goals from Odsonne Edouard and James Forrest.

The hysteria surrounding Brown’s performance in the days after the game was a sight to behold. People wanting the midfielder cited for non-existent charges, which most people laughed off.

However, nearly a week after the game the SFA charged Scott Brown with a bogus, fantasy charge that is utter lunacy. Here is the full charge.

Disciplinary Rule 77 – A recognised football body, club, official, Team Official, other member of Team Staff, player, match official or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall, at all times, act in the best interests of Association Football. Furthermore such person or body shall not act in any manner which is improper or use any one, or a combination of, violent Conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour.

The Celtic lawyers are going to have a laugh with this one.
