SCOTT BROWN missed Celtic’s terrible defeat to Salzburg on Thursday night after struggling with a hamstring problem.

With the midfielder having a history of problems he was not risked against the Austrian’s.

On Wednesday Brendan Rodgers said he was a doubt but didn’t rule the Celtic captain completely out until the day of the game.

However, it now looks like the injury will keep the Celtic star out of the bhoys trip to St Johnstone on Sunday.

Youssouf Mulumbu came in for the injured star and did well  – the first half especially but it was all downhill for the team after the equalising goal from the home side.

Mulumbu will now likely start the game against St Johnstone with the bhoys looking to rebound from their Europa failure at the first go.

Celtic have no time to feel sorry for themselves and must get back to winning ways.
