Celtic captain Scott Brown has hailed midfielder Ismaila Soro for his performances in recent weeks even despite his reduced game time.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of tomorrow’s fixture against Livingston, Brown hailed the Ivorian who has quickly become a fans favourite for the support, with the 35-year old also saying he will do whatever he can to help Neil Lennon.

A vast majority of the support was delighted to see Soro come into the side in December, due to his impressive performances which have seen him keep the captain out the side.

Over the last decade, Brown has had an incredible impact on this Celtic side, with his influence as a captain. However, there were many calls for him to lose his place in the side due to his poor performances at the start of the season.

Soro’s inclusion in the side has been one of the few positives to come from this season. As much as fans love Brown, who is, of course, a legend of this club many won’t be expecting him to receive much game time going forward with how good the 22-year old has been.
