SCOTT BROWN has sent a very positive message out this evening after the bhoys made it five for five in the SPFL.

Celtic had to slog it out at New Douglas Park against a stubborn Hamilton side but they got the three points in the end.

The Celtic captain pointed out this was the first time since 2009 that the club had started so well. Not even in the invincible season did the club have as good of a start.

Considering the narrative up until the start of September was somehow the Scottish Champions were going to be chasing their Glasgow rivals, the bhoys have laid down a marker for the season.

Five games, five very different performances but ultimately the same three points every time. Neil Lennon has used his big squad to good effect so far.

Next up is Rennes for the treble treble champions who will have to be at their best to get a result in France. The domestic test comes three days after that game when Celtic must be ready for Kilmarnock at Celtic Park. Euro hangovers can’t be accepted.
