SCOTT BROWN has shown his class in defeat by not making a big deal about being elbowed in the face by another Ibrox thug. Jon Flanagan should have seen red for his blatant elbow on the Celtic captain but only received a yellow from referee Kevin Clancy.

Celtic lost 2-0 on the day and the Ibrox side were worth their three points on the day regardless of the shocking refereeing decision.

Scott Brown acknowledged that it wouldn’t have changed the result BUT wondered why Clancy didn’t send Flanigan off.

“Yeah, another one to the face.” he told SunSport.

“Surprisingly, somebody didn’t see that again.

“He said it was a yellow because it didn’t hit me in the face.

“But it’s part and parcel.

“I don’t think it would have changed the outcome of the game. We didn’t deserve to win today, Rangers played better than we did.”

Brown showing his class by not rising to the thuggery which has plagued the Ibrox club this season.

It’s the second time this season a man stayed on the park against Celtic at Ibrox when he should have walked.

Morelos was the culprit last time around and Flanigan this time.

Celtic are still the champions and today’s result. As much as it was a sore one, it affects very little and should spark the Celtic board into action this summer. Not before time.
