Scott Brown has won the first game of his managerial career in his first attempt.

The former Celtic captain was appointed as the boss of Fleetwood Town a month back but had to wait until pre-season before he could sit in the dugouts.

He’s already made his mark, bringing players from north of the border to the seaside town with him.

In his first match as a manager, Scott Brown faced Orijent. The team from the second division of Croatian football were defeated by the Celtic Legend’s side 3-0, with Brown starting his career in the dugout successfully.

Fleetwood Town will face Stoke City, Barrow and Dundee United before they kick off their season away from home against Port Vale.

Brown’s Celtic Option

Scott Brown had the opportunity to come back to Celtic and take up a coaching role at the club, instead, he opted to go south of the border and manage a side.

It was a smart move from Brown, who will look to learn his trade in the lower leagues of English football.

It’ll be an interesting watch, and with Fleetwood not being too far south of the border, many Celtic fans may decide to pay their former captain a visit.
