SCOTT BROWN scored a goal on Sunday at Rugby Park which will have a big say in the title race. The last gasp winner saw Celtic pull clear of second place, giving the bhoys an eight-point lead.
The goal came after 90 minutes of frustration where it looked like Celtic would continue the theme of losing points on the road. However, the ball fell to Brown from a Boyata knockdown and while his shot looked like it wouldn’t do damage the wicked deflection it took meant the ball nestled in the back of the net. Brown along with his teammates and the fans celebrated the goal knowing full well the implications of the winner.
This did not go down well with some of the more bitter football pundits among us and the TalkSport Gers Cheerleader Adrian Durham branded Celtic and Brown an embarrassment for their celebrations.
When asked to comment on people saying he went over the top after the goal, Scott Brown offered this stinging reply via CELTIC TV.
? Scott Brown: “To be honest, the people criticising me for it are probably people who have never kicked a ball in their lives who are sitting in the house being keyboard warriors, but I’m doing a job I love and it’s a celebration at the end of the day.” pic.twitter.com/22JEjM1Wh6

Brown was given his second yellow after the goal for going towards the fans but had no regrets about how it all panned out.
The midfielder will now miss Celtic’s game on Sunday against Motherwell at home.
