Celtic legend and former captain Scott Brown is currently training with Scottish Championship side Dunfermline, as he weighs up his options for his next move in football.

Over the last year, there has been a lot of change for Brown, who called time on his 14-year spell with Celtic, choosing to make a move to Aberdeen and become part of the backroom staff.

However, it didn’t work out for Stephen Glass at Pittodrie, and a few weeks ago, Brown made the decision to also depart the Dons after the arrival of Jim Goodwin.

As reported by the Dundee Courier, Brown is currently training with Scottish Championship side Dunfermline, who are also managed by a few Celtic players in John Hughes.

The report also states that he won’t be joining the Pars on a permanent basis after being pictured at East End Park on Friday night.

Brown remains close to assistant boss Steven Whittaker after both spent their early days in football at Hibernian.

Although it is just a temporary step taken by Brown, he will have a big call on his hands as to whether he continues his playing career or if he chooses to retire and continue his journey into coaching.

Some reports have even suggested a return to Celtic could be on the cards for the club legend, with some sort of role within the backroom or youth side of things, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

It will be interesting to see what that next step is for the 36-year. But I’m sure he will have the support of the Celtic fans across the country, whatever that may be.
