SCOTT BROWN is hoping the lure of ten in a row next season will be enough to keep this current squad intact over the summer.

The Celtic captain has been talking after Celtic were confirmed as champions on Monday afternoon and where the club goes from here.

Like every year, Celtic will have to make the decision to either sell one of their prized assets. A formula which works and one which is needed if there’s no Champions League pot of fold.

For Broony, he’s hoping the nucleus of the team is here next season but did admit he has no idea about the loan bhoys and if they’d be back – specifically Fraser Forster.

“Things can change in football. Players can move on and changes can happen.” Brown told SunSport.

“That’s part of the game.

“But it would be great if all the lads could still be here and we could go on again into next season, if it was possible.

“I don’t know what the situation is with the boys on loan. I’m not sure what happens there, but it would be great to get big Fraser back.”

Forster ‘s run at the club this time was another success. Had it not been for some incredible saves, we might only have one trophy in the cabinet this season, so far.

His exploits in Europe have also been brilliant. It’s now up to Celtic to try and bring the big man back. With the season over and no signs of the Scottish Cup Semi-Final games being played soon, it could be the last we see of Fraser in a Celtic jersey.

The big man is valued on Transfermarkt at £5.85m, with Southampton not keen to keep him, could that fee be something Celtic look at?

Scott Bain signed a new long term deal not so long ago, maybe the plan was to make him number one when Fraser left.

  1. if Frazer is for sale, we should have no hesitation in signing him! He has more than proved his worth , and he is “at home” here, then it would be folly not to sign him.
