Former Celtic winger Scott Sinclair he claimed that his move up north to Glasgow from Aston Villa to the Hoops was ’the best move of his career’.

As reported by the Sun, Sinclair was on Sky Sports TV show, Soccer AM spoke about how much he loved his time wearing the green and white hoops.

”It was probably one of the best decisions I ever made in my career, at that time.

”There was always speculation of me going up there at that time and I had thought about other things like could have stayed in England.

“But once I went up there, I knew how big Celtic was, but I didn’t realise how big it is until you play for them.

“When you do play for them, you realise: “Wow, this is a massive club.”

Sinclair was a huge fan favourite from his time in Glasgow due to his goal-scoring exploits, in particular during the invincible season in which he took home the player of the year award.

The majority of fans will never forget, the 31-year olds famous chant, that in a way made him even more popular within the support.

In later seasons his performances dropped a little but Sinky would also give his best for the team and continued to score some important goals.

He completed a move away from the club last January to Preston and some fans felt it was a bit of an emotional one because of the great three and a half years he spent at the club.

It is brilliant to hear that Sinclair still speak so highly of the club which will adhere to fans massively
