The focus has switched from international football for the next few months, with the final of the breaks ending last week.
However, the focus was once more put on the international football stage this afternoon before the next break in March as nations discovered who they would face in the World Cup play-offs.
Several Celtic players, such as Callum McGregor and David Turnbull, to name a few, could potentially feature in these games, with Scotland reaching the play-off round ahead of Qatar 2022.
Those Hoops players and Steve Clarke’s side discovered that they would face Ukraine at Hampden Park in March next year.
If they are to progress from that fixture, they will go on to play either Wales or Austria away from home a few days after the semi-final, for a place at the World Cup in Qatar.

McGregor, in particular, has gone on to become a key feature in Clarke’s side alongside Billy Gilmour and John McGinn as a midfield three.
However, come March, a lot can happen in football which could open up the opportunities to feature for players such as James Forrest and Anthony Ralston, who have a bit more of an outside shot at this stage.
It will be very interesting to see which of Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic side are part of that squad at the beginning of next year.
For now, though, the focus switches back to club football and will remain that way for the next few months of action.
