There was a faint hope the Scottish cup final would be played in front of some sort of crowd this year given Hampden is getting the all clear for a 25% capacity during the Euro’s.

Whoever makes the final will NOT have fans in the stands it’s been confirmed today with the stadium already in UEFAs hands by the time that date rolls around.

Celtic will face their Glasgow rivals next weekend to determine who progresses in the competition. The Hoops are looking to make it five Scottish Cup titles in a row but it won’t be an easy task.

John Kennedy’s side will be major underdogs next Saturday and will have to play the best they have this season to advance in the competition.

If Celtic were to get through and eventually head to the final, it would be their second Hampden final without fans. Winning last season’s Scottish Cup against Hearts on penalties back in December.
