The Celtic ticket office announced this morning that the ballot for Scottish Cup final tickets had taken place and fans could log on to see if their eligible for a ticket.

The demand is so great that even Celtic fans on the home cup ticket scheme who went to all previous home rounds as well as the semi-final still have to be balloted. There will be a lot of disappointed fans who ticked all the correct boxes at the start of the season.

So it’s very galling when the Celtic tickets went on sale at 10 am this morning to find out there are already briefs on the second-hand market charging over £200 for a £35 ticket.

This is absolutely shocking and something the club must find a way to stop. With seemingly everybody accounted for in the ballot, where are these tickets coming from? And are they genuine?

As we don’t want to feed this site to any of our readers we will not be divulging the name or give the link to the site. We would ask anyone who comes across the site to not purchase any tickets from the vendor.

We have passed the link onto the club and have asked for comment.
