Last weekend, Celtic secured their place in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup with a 2-1 victory over Scottish League 1 side Alloa Athletic.

The Hoops now face the task of another lower league opposition in the next round of the cup, when Raith Rovers travel to Glasgow at the beginning of February, with details for that match being announced this afternoon.

The game will take place on Sunday the 13th of February, with a slightly different kick-off time of 4:00 PM that day.

The matchup will also be shown live on Premier Sports, with the rights holders for both domestic cup competitions in Scotland continuing their run of televised Celtic matches in the Premier Sports and Scottish Cup this campaign.

Of course, this matchup will be one that is familiar to Ange Postecoglou and his Celtic side, having already faced the side from Kirkaldy in another cup competition this season, when John McGlynn’s side travelled to Glasgow.

Postecoglou’s side came out on top that night, with Jota, Liel Abada and David Turnbull scoring in a 3-0 victory, which helped Celtic on their way to eventually lifting that trophy back in December.

Let’s hope we can see a similar end result in this competition after facing Raith Rovers at an earlier stage, with the Hoops attempting to win back the trophy they lifted for the past four seasons before last campaign.
