Reports today suggest that there are 3 Spanish sides are interested in Stefan Scepovic as well as Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The usual routine with flop strikers at Celtic these days is we loan them out for a season before letting them go or selling them for well below what we paid for them two years previous.

In this instance there seems to be interest in taking Stefan on a permanent basis. If this is the case then Celtic should strive to get him off the books as soon as possible.

It would be in the best interests of the player and the club for him to move on before the window closes in just over a weeks time.

Stefan has failed to make a mark at Celtic Park and never got off to the best start when signing for Celtic it looked like he turned the club down initially before signing right on the deadline last summer.

Since then he has been behind many other strikers and hasn’t shown anything in the outings he’s been given.

Once Nadir Ciftci’s domestic ban is over he will find it hard to get in the match day squad.

If we an claw even 50% of his transfer fee back we will be doing well.

He would join a long list of failed Celtic strikers that must haunt the scouting team at Paradise.

Knowing our luck we will sell him on and he’ll score a hat-trick against us in next years Champions League qualifiers.
