NEIL LENNON is up against it in terms of the support he has from the fans at the minute, but he won’t be alone on the technical area on Thursday night against Sparta Prague.

SunSport is reporting Sparta manager, Václav Kotal could be given his marching orders if Celtic come and win on Thursday night.

Club legend Jiri Novotny has made the claim:

“Make no mistake, the manager is in serious danger of losing his job.

“I’m told all is not well at Sparta and you could see why when they lose four goals at home. Slavia Prague seems a long way ahead of them.

“Conceding that amount of goals to an opponent like Ceske Budejovice means the alarm bells start to ring.

“They also lost three goals to Viktoria, and it’s clear their defence has major issues.

“Basically, the team cannot cope with any injuries, and they have had a lot of them. They are missing eight players of varying abilities.”

On the flip side of things, if Celtic were to suffer a heavy defeat to the home side, the pressure on Neil Lennon would get even worse.

It looks as if both managers are fighting for their immediate future which makes Thursday’s game all the more interesting.

Celtic look like they’re standing by Neil Lennon and putting their faith in him to overcome the problems we’ve had so far this season. The fans are less confident but are powerless to do anything other than watch how it all plays out at the moment.

If the board gamble with the fans, it could come back to bite them come next summer when season ticket renewals are on the agenda.
