Jack Hendry’s Australian adventure could be over after just two weeks with the player going down injured in his second game for Melbourne City.
The defender signed on with the Australian side for the rest of the season but after picking up an injury against Adelaide Utd the news isn’t good.
@MelbourneCity's Scottish international Jack Hendry suffers serious knee injury in @ALeague loss to @AdelaideUnited. City coach Erick Mombaerts says of the @CelticFC loanee: "I don't know exactly but I think it's a big injury," fears he'll be out a "long time". @AAPNewswire

Hendry was shipped out by Celtic because he wasn’t getting any game time under Neil Lennon. The Scottish international shunning several offers from deals closer to home to try his hand down under.
If the injury is as worse case scenario the player would likely be sent back to Celtic for treatment ending his Australian adventure very early.
Celtic will likely now be in correspondence with Melbourne about the best route forward when it comes to Jack’s treatment. It’s very unfortunate and unlucky for the defender who was looking to play his way back into reckoning for club and country.
