Celtic have the small matter of a Europa League qualifier on Thursday but after that game there’s not much time to rest with Hearts coming to town three days later.

The Jambos make the short trip up the motorway to take on the Scottish Champions in what’s likely to be a lively affair.

After John Beaton’s incredible decision not to hand Celtic a penalty last weekend and the subsequent furore around Tom Boyd’s comments on the matter, it puts the referee for the Hearts game into sharp focus.

That being said, the SFA have confirmed the referees for this weekends SPFL matches and we can’t help but laugh at who has been given the responsibility.

Mr Willie Collum will be the man in the middle as the SFA’s appointed official.

Celtic fans and many in Scottish football know Collum has been responsible for more dubious decisions than perhaps anyone else. Another refereeing calamity at the weekend could prove problematic for the SFA who continue to blindly back some of the horrible decisions made by their officials.
