The SFA have confirmed the referee for Celtic vs Hibs will be none other than Craig Thomson. A light has been shone on officials yet again after another week of ridiculous decisions. It has got so bad; Steve Clarke went on a tirade about the standards and lack of consistency within the Scottish game.

CELTIC take on Hibernian on Wednesday night with the bhoys looking to protect their six point lead at the top of the table. We all know Hibs have struggled and have no full time manager at present, but they always manage to lift their game against Celtic.

Something that might have irked former boss Neil Lennon who called out his star Kamberi for scoring against Celtic but not turning up in other games.

Thomson will be flanked by linesman Drew Kirkland and Gary Hilland with Grant Irvine as the fourth official.

Willie Collum ignored two clear penalty shouts for Celtic in their weekend win against St Johnstone while Andrew Dallas couldn’t wait to point to the spot during his match at Ibrox.

Hopefully, Thomson will not make any headlines and fades into the background for the vital SPFL tie.
