On Wednesday evening, Celtic will be looking to return to winning ways as they face St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership. Ange Postecoglou’s side defeated Kilmarnock in the League Cup Semi-Final at Hampden on Saturday, will now face Stephen Robinson’s team, this time at Celtic Park.

The Paisley side are the only team to have beaten Celtic this season, having secured a 2-0 victory back in September 2022.

Celtic will be looking for retribution following their defeat, and St Mirren will be buoyed by their recent success as they look to grab another upset.

The SFA have confirmed Steven McLean as the referee for the match, with Andrew Dallas assigned to provide VAR support.

Celtic have had their fair share of poor VAR experiences since its introduction in October – and some of the decisions have been questionable to say the least!

A few of them have been debatable, while others have been so glaringly obvious that it’s been hard to ignore. That’s why the fans and the club have been calling for more consistency when it comes to VAR. Let’s hope McLean and Dallas can do their job right.
