According to reports on Tuesday evening, the SFA are now looking at bringing in ‘specialist video assistant referees’ in a bid to placate the growing unrest in Scottish football.

Even before VAR was instituted Celtsarehere.com and many others raised red flags over the technology being used by the current crop of officials who work on a part-time basis.

We believed a full time official set up was the best course of action before asking the current lot to do more. It’s the same guys who have been getting things wrong for years now in control of looking at incidents and making even worse decisions.

BBC report the SFA is in discussions about how to improve the situation.

Would specialist VAR officials come from outside of Scotland?

It’s questions the club need to be asking. Celtic have been on the receiving end of some bizarre calls as have many clubs.

We have nine games left of this season, nothing will change before the summer. So it’s same again when the SPFL kicks back off after the international break.
