The SPFL and SFA look like they’re on a collision source with the Ibrox club after it emerged as many of seven players who played a bounce game against Dundee Utd might not have had their mandatory COVID test results through before they played the game.

If so, it would be a massive breach by the club and could throw the game in Scotland into jeopardy if clubs do not follow the proper protocols.

We have seen in the last 24 hours the damaging effect this virus will have on our game with St Mirren having to close ranks after over seven people at the club were tested as positive.

The rules are there for player safety and for the good of our game, if it’s not been carried out and players have been allowed onto the park without the green light, severe sanctions must be imposed.
