The Scottish Cup Final will NOT be the end of season showpiece event next season with the SFA announcing the final will take place at least one week before the SPFL season is due to end.

Traditionally the cup final would take place after the league has been done and dusted and this would be the final word in the season. The past three years Celtic have capped off their season by bringing home a treble with Scottish Cup glory. Now, if the bhoys do get to another final they will have another league game to play afterwards.

This is due to Scotland’s involvement in Euro 2020 – the first Euro tournament to be held around several different countries and venues around Europe including Hampden.

SFA Chief’s want the Cup Final done and dusted early and the final will take place Saturday, May 9th as reported by RecordSport.

May we suggest Celtic don’t book the stadium out – just in case!

If Celtic win the league, they would likely lift the SPFL trophy after the Scottish Cup Final at their last home game of the season.
