Celtic have been a basket case when it’s come to communication this season.

We’ve witness contrived interviews, well managed Q&A sessions and promises of reviews.

What we haven’t had is proper communication.

Social media gives clubs a platform like never before where they can reach large swathes of the support. No need for letters or newspapers to get their voice across.

That’s why it’s so frustrating the way they hierarchy go about their business.

Celtic have been without a manager for two months. In that time we’ve had very little communication from the club. The biggest thing we’ve had is the aforementioned Q&A from Dermot Desmond. That particular communication a reaction and rebuttal to an article by Brian Dempsey wrote questions Desmond’s fandom.

As we move into May, there’s still nothing from the club. The people controlling Celtic’s social media are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

They don’t have the information the Celtic fans want and they’re told by their employers to promote the business and brand.

It’s so regretful that today’s big Celtic post is about Celtic shops opening again as restrictions ease. If you listen to Clyde one you will also have heard the ads imploring Celtic fans to part with their cash on Monday.

The club need to wisen up and realise they’re perpetuating the perception they’re just out grab our cash.

After this season, after the lack of communication and the way faithful supporters have been treated, maybe not promote the merchandise so overtly. While fans are looking for some optimism.
