Fulham has signed Celtic flop Shane Duffy from Brighton as the club look to avoid relegation from the Premier League in their first season.

After his resurgence in the top flight of English football last season, Duffy is keen to play before his contract with Seagulls expires next summer.

The deal was confirmed on Friday.

After a shocking season in Glasgow, it was surprising to see Duffy play eighteen times in the English top flight last season.

It simply never worked out for the defender at Celtic. It was a horrible season for the player that should’ve been better than he was, but problems on and off the park hampered his chances of success at Parkhead, and he ultimately became a flop.

Postecoglou has his Celtic Defenders

Shane Duffy wouldn’t have suited Ange’s ball-playing style. The Irish international is a traditional centre-back.

With Starfelt and Carter-Vickers comfortable on the ball, it enables Celtic to play the fast-flowing football they practice. To be a good defender for Postecoglou, you have to be a good footballer.
