Shane Duffy has responded to a Celtic fan on social media this evening after the supporter suggested the former hoops defender was pandering to the Ibrox support this afternoon.

Brighton were in Glasgow to take on Steven Gerrard’s men and as you would expect, the home crowd were having a laugh at the player’s expense.

We don’t know what particular moment the fan was annoyed about but Duffy responded after being accused of pandering.

Duffy spent a disastrous loan spell at Celtic last season where he found himself out of the side after January never to really be seen again.

Neil Lennon was eventually sacked and the club has been in disarray for some time. Even now, we’re still living the aftermath of last season’s poorly run campaign.

Celtic have a new boss and are starting to bring new players in but it’s been a very slow process. Shane is back playing with Brighton and hoping he can win his place back in the side.

  1. I’m a Shane Duffy fan. I knew his Dad, and Shane plays just the same as Brian. He gives 100% all the time.
Did the hunts score today against Shane’s defence? NO!

  2. Derry Duffy is ten times the person of any of that lot. Form is temporary, liquidation is permanent. He’s still Shane Duffy, they’re still RIFC. 51/ 1, Mind The Gap.
