Celtic fans will have watched from their homes this evening as St Mirren blew the title race wide open with a late win 1-0 in Paisley.

The Buddies were the better side throughout and Hearts were a man down from the 30th minute after Craig Halkett denied a clear goal scoring opportunity for the home side.

A late 88th minute goal from Miguel Freckelton meant Hearts were handed a defeat and in doing so have allowed both Celtic and Rangers to play catch up on Wednesday evening.

Celtic are second on goal difference and travel to Pittodrie on Wednesday for the live televised game of the evening. Rangers are at home to Kilmarnock.

Martin O’Neill has chased Hearts down once this season when he was first in charge on an interim basis, only for Wilfried Nancy to blow 12 points in his shockingly short stint as manager.

Cvancara will likely lead the line for the bhoys after scoring his first goal in the win over Falkirk at the weekend.
