Shock New Deal On the Table for Loan Star

BRENDAN RODGERS has reportedly told Ryan Christie he wants the midfielder back at Celtic at the end of the season ready to fight for his place in the team.

Currently on-loan at Aberdeen – Christie has one year left on his Celtic deal but the club want a one-year extension added to that to give Ryan the time to make a breakthrough.

The Scottish midfielder is currently on international duty with Alex McLeish’s new look Scotland set up and hopes he can make the jump for club and country.

Aberdeen are desperate to keep Christie but they have been told in no uncertain terms by Celtic that he will report back to the club this summer to get ready for Celtic’s hectic schedule.

Christie has been a breath of fresh air for The Dons and they’ll find it hard to replace him.
