CELTIC played out a 0-0 draw with Bristol City on Wednesday night in their final game down south before heading back to Glasgow.

Celtic’s bad luck over the past year with injuries reared its ugly head again on Wednesday evening when before kick-off Vasilis Barkas was pulled after injuring his hand. Not half an hour into the game and Mikey Johnston had to go off injured after getting his first start in a long time.

The biggest flashpoint of the match was the moment Karamoko Dembele had to go off injured after a shocking tackle from behind.

The skilful midfielder had broken free in midfield and was on his way up the park when the most cynical of fouls came in from behind sending the Celtic youngster crashing to the ground.

Celtic fans have been having their say on the incident and nobody seems impressed with Bristol City at all. It was a friendly and the tackle was nothing short of disgraceful.

We can only hope Karamoko shakes this off. It’s a big season for the young lad and if he is out injured this early on, it could mean curtains for his Celtic career having only one-year left of his Celtic deal remaning.
