Most Celtic fans were probably expecting a tough watch today after the last couple of games against the Dingwall team but before the half-hour mark, the Hoops were three up and County down to ten men.

It’s easy to get caught up in the relentless first-half attacking Celtic performance and brush off another bunch of shocking refereeing decisions but Tom Boyd was having none of it.

The former Celtic captain called out today’s ref before the first whistle blew at Celtic Park. The ex-Celtic defender accused today’s ref Don Robertson of not protecting Celtic players in previous games. It didn’t take too long for the Celtic TV commentator to be proven right.

A few yellow cards were let slide before a red was eventually dished out for a horror tackle on Tom Rogic which forced the big Australian off injured. But it was this incident that drove Tom Boyd crazy.

Celtic had another handball waved away in the second half before eventually, Roberston could not ignore the third offence. Giakoumakis slotted the penalty home to make it back to back Celtic Park hat-tricks but the 4-0 lead should not disguise another inept ref’s performance.
