Celtic have been linked with a move for prolific striker Shon Weissman from Wolfsberger in Austria who bagged 37 goals in 40 appearances last term for his club.

The frontman is entering into the final year of his contract with the Austrian side and has attracted interest due to his goal-scoring form.

Celtic have four main strikers on their books at the minute and you would think the club would look to move at least one of those striker’s on if they were to sign the Weissman.

The Israeli has been brought to the attention of Celtic by Neil Lennon’s favourite agent Dudu Duhan. Inside Futbol report the club have made an offer for the striker, with the Wolfsberger AC president Dietmar Riegler apparently confirming the interest:

“Offers have come, amongst others from Russia and Scotland, from Celtic Glasgow.

“With the corona crisis, this year everything is different.

“The season has come to an end in Germany. The clubs know where they will be playing next season.

“I think the next few days will be surely be interesting for Shon.”

Edouard shouldn’t be going anywhere, Klimala has just got here so it would be up to the club to move on Leigh Griffiths or Vakoun Bayo.

The bhoys are heading to France this week and with the countdown well and truly on to the new season, the club really need to press ahead with signing plans.
