Celtic’s reserve side took on Hibernian at Lennoxtown on Monday afternoon in the semi-final of the reserve cup.

The bhoys fielded a strong team, a mix of youth players and potential first-team stars were on show.

The two new signings in January Ismaila Soro and Patryk Klimala started the match. There was also a start for Hatem Elhamed who has been missing since the Lazio away tie through injury.

While these notable players got game time, it was Karamoko Dembele who stole the show with a brace on the day. One superb strike and the other the weaved through the opposition to get the goal.

Celtic won 4-1 on the day, and Karamoko was the star man. Many supporters who heard of the player’s exploits want him to be considered for game time in the coming weeks.

Karamoko has played in a couple of games this season but has yet to make a proper breakthrough. His performance at Lennoxtown doing the player no harm whatsoever.
