Celtic loanee Marian Shved has scored his first competitive goal for Belgian loan side KV Mechelen.

The Ukrainian winger came off the bench with half an hour to play in the game, as Mechelen were in the hunt for their 2nd win in a row against Mouscron.

In the 83rd minute, he popped up and grabbed the winner taking home the three points, with a tidy finish inside the box.

So far this season, the Celtic winger has failed to cut it for you his loan side, rarely featuring and being criticised for his attitude and being lazy by his manager.

In the last few weeks though he has started to get more minutes off the bench and has certainly helped his cause by getting a crucial goal in the game.

Shved failed to make the grade in Glasgow under Neil Lennon and was loaned out to Belgian to try and rebuild his career once again.

Mechelen has an option to buy on their loan deal for the 22-year old. It didn’t look as though they were going to exercise this but with the goal tonight, they will be hoping he kicks on and it may still be a possibility that stays there permanently come next summer.
