On-loan Celtic winger, Marian Shved this morning impressed in a friendly match between KV Mechelen and Gent, with the Ukrainian even getting himself a goal.

In recent weeks, Shved has found his game time hard to come by with the Belgian side but he could be well on his way to a start after today’s performance in the friendly game, which saw him playing a key role in the 2-0 victory.
Shved’s situation has always been a funny one, during his time at Celtic, starting from when he first joined the club.
The day before he was signed, manager at the time, Brendan Rodgers admitted to not knowing anything about the young winger.
From watching clips of him online and looking at his scoring record in his native country, it seemed to be a bit of a left-field but exciting signing at the time.
However, the 23-year old could never live up to the hype that he had early on and failed to make a start for Neil Lennon’s side.
We hope he can do well whilst over in Belgium but it is unlikely we will see him in the hoops again, due to Mechelen having an option-to-buy for the Shved, at the start of next summer.
