Celtic target Benjamin Siegrist has reportedly been spotted in Glasgow at the Blythswood square hotel ahead of a move to Celtic.

Over the years, Celtic have used the 5 star hotel to conclude business with players and their agents. The Hoops also put players up in the hotel while they find long term accommodation.

RecordSport report Benjamin has been spotted at the hotel but haven’t posted any images of the former Dundee Utd man.

Celtic’s move for Siegrist

Celtic are looking for a backup to Joe Hart and Siegrist must be signing a deal knowing he’ll be working under the Englishman for the time being. He could be promised cup outings — something Brendan Rodgers did with Scott Bain back in the day.

Siegrist is an athletic shot stopper and played a huge role in Dundee Utd’s top half finish last season.

Now a free agent, the player has explored his options all summer with Celtic looking likely to get their man.

The Swiss goalkeeper is 30, but still younger than Joe Hart, perhaps he believes he can take Joe’s place when the former Man City man hangs up his gloves.

Benjamin would be Celtic’s second signing of the window after securing Cameron Carter-Vickers to a permanent four-year deal earlier in June.
