CELTIC are closing in on a new deal for new first team bhoy Conor Hazard, Sky Sports reporter, Anthony Joseph reports.
Hazard has been with the club long term and he still has two years left on his current deal but Joseph claims the shot-stopper will get a ‘significant’ wage increase.
This will be great news for Conor who must have thought his time at the club would not yield a first team appearance when he sat behind Fraser Forster, Craig Gordon and Scott Bain last term.
With two of the goalkeepers leaving and new signing Vasilis Barkas not setting the world alight, it created an opportunity for Conor who has started the last two games and could be in goals for the Scottish Cup Final on Sunday.
With Celtic getting that business done, it’s obvious the club see Hazard as the long term keeper to takeover but Joseph admits Celtic will head into the market in January in search of a goalkeeper.

It’s not yet clear if Hazard can cement his place in the team but he has as much chance as any goalkeeper at Celtic Park right now.
