Former Celtic hero Simon Donnelly threw out a tweet on Tuesday evening as the news emerged Neil Lennon’s time was up.

SunSport has reported the manager will be relieved of his duties later today, which now allows Celtic fans to look to the future.

Almost two years to the day he took over from Brendan Rodgers, the Irishman has managed his last game for Celtic.

Simon Donnelly put out a cheeky message asking fans who they would like to see as the new manager and attached a picture of his old teammate, Henrik Larsson, who is currently a coach at Barcelona.

It certainly got discussion flowing!

We know there will be a massive tongue in cheek element to the post from Simon but some fans are up for the idea.

I’d say the majority aren’t! After seeing Neil Lennon go through a horrible season and the fans getting on his back, never in a million years do I want to see Henrik Larsson booed out of Celtic Park by the support if results aren’t going our way.

Nor do I want to be in a position we have found ourselves in this season where the board afford more time to a manager just because of his status with the club.

We need a fresh look and a fresh manager, that man is not Henrik Larsson.
