Celtic fan and former pro-footballer, Trevor Sinclair reacted time Chris Sutton’s wind up post on Saturday night after a picture of Celtic’s Glasgow rivals being presented the Lyon tournament trophy.

There has been quite the reaction to a friendly cup win, but Chris Sutton is always around to try and keep people grounded.

With some over celebrating, Chris Sutton equated the feat to winning the Petrofac cup which he referred to as the petrol tank cup.

Sinclair replied saying the big man was brutal.

Both Celtic and last year’s League Cup, and League runners-up took part in games against France and Nice. To their credit they won both their games while Celtic drew with Nice and lost to Lyon.

Neil Lennon used his entire squad in the two games and started a very inexperienced side against a full Lyon team on Saturday. By the time the first team stars took to the field it was 2-0 to the French side. Moi did get a goal back in the final minutes of the game but it wasn’t enough.

Celtic have lost the highly sought after trophy and I’m sure Neil Lennon will be very, erm, upset?

  1. I am not worried. About this cup, I am more worried about what John Kennedy is teaching our defenders , his work has shown to be our failure in Europe each year ,and its time he should be replaced before he turns to stone altogether.
