Celtic are running like a well oiled machine at the minute. Everything seems to be falling into place from the team to the backroom staff.

We don’t want to see anybody upset the applecart ahead of a vital run of fixtures in the lead up to the new year. However, that’s what Hibernian appear to be attempting by trying to make a play for Celtic assistant manager John Kennedy.

Neil Lennon’s right hand man has only known Celtic as a professional employer and has come through the ranks as a player to coach to assistant manager. The natural progression would be to go into management and there’s a theory floating around out there John is being groomed to be the next Celtic manager.

If anyone is in doubt about the scope Neil Lennon is giving his assistant, take a look at John on the touch line during a Celtic game.

Neil Lennon giving him plenty of space to encourage the team.

With Hibernian looking for a new boss, it’s no surprise John’s name has come up but Celtic and Neil won’t want to lose him.

According to Sky Sports – an official approach will be made. Could John be tempted to start his managerial career earlier than expected?
