SCOTLAND can be proud of their performance at Wembley on Friday evening. Not many gave them a chance before the game and by the final whistle, the country were frustrated not to win the tie.

To a man, Scotland were outstanding, everyone put in a shift and left it all out on the field in a night where England were handed a major reality check.

Sky Sports have been picking over the bones of the draw on Saturday morning and afternoon.

They put out their player ratings and they had Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor down as the worst player in the Scotland team on the night – giving him a 6, on par with some of the England players who failed to turn up.

Cal Mac put in a top performance in the defensive midfielder role and was as much a part of the result as the rest of the Scotland squad.

There were so many things to admire about the Scottish display, to put one man further down the pecking order is lunacy.

The fact no Scotland player reached a 9/10 or full marks says these ratings are a bit salty.

  1. I agree, he was the worse player in the Scotland team, hardly put in a tackle, lost hi man several times, never made forward runs or passes.
