An Italian journalist has linked Celtic with a move for Roma goalkeeper Robin Olsen two weeks after Celtic brought in Vasilis Barkas from Athens.

Mario Giunta claims the Scottish champions are looking to get the stopper on loan this season but it would seem a bit of a bizarre move.

We know Neil Lennon has the propensity to sign a third choice goalkeeper randomly during transfer windows who never see the light of day, but this seems a bit far-fetched.

Celtic have Barkas as their number one and Scott Bain as their solid number two, Olsen would not come to a club to play third choice and Celtic would not want to pay any kind of substantial wages for a goalkeeper who is never likely to play.

Loan deal or not, it just doesn’t seem within the realms of reality. The Sky Sports journalist might be getting delayed information and perhaps the club were interested in Olsen before sealing a move for Barkas.
