SKY SPORTS claimed Arsenal were closing in on Kieran Tierney over the weekend after the London club had finally submitted a second bid for the Celtic star.
The bid which was billed as £25m had Celtic fans very concerned the player could be off until the news of the bid started to unravel and it became pretty clear Arsenal were trying to pull a fast one with Celtic.
A misguided and overinflated sense of self-worth that comes from being around the Premier League meant most people down south thought Celtic would accept the deal and Kieran would run down to London in his Celtic PJs to sign. This was not the case and it emerged Celtic had thrown out of any staggered payment deal which required Tierney to make a certain amount of appearances before Celtic would get the full lot.
It appears Sky Sports were so excited about this transfer they must have got all their graphics ready for this morning in anticipation of Kieran Tierney becoming an Arsenal player – so much so they decided to post an image anyway alongside their article.
