Celtic fans are having to go in their pocket more and more these days to ensure they never miss a game.

If you’re a season ticket holder – you have that expense followed by a Sky Sports subscription for the SPFL, a Premier Sports sub for the cup games and a BT Sport subscription for European ties.

It doesn’t stop there. Sky Sports are showing fewer and fewer away games when it comes to Celtic – supporters had to fork out £20 against Livingston last month because the broadcaster didn’t run the game. Clubs can charge fans what they want for the games when they aren’t picked up by Sky.

Celtic travel to Fir Park after the international break and the game will NOT be shown on Sky Sports.

Motherwell have now confirmed they will charge a £12 PPV fee for the game.

It’s on the lower side of what has been charged but it’s still another expense as Celtic fans follow the team.

The month of October is big for Celtic – they can pull themselves back into a title race. The Bhoys are six points off the top and have some serious ground to make up.

Their win at Aberdeen could be a turning point but Motherwell away provides another stern test.

The Steelmen also cut Celtic’s away allocation for the game. We’re not sure if it was because Celtic were not allowing other SPFL fans into Celtic Park.

If that’s the case, Motherwell along with most other clubs will likely receive an allocation from Celtic going forward because the SPFL is set to lift the red zone.

People are just too dumb to set it up.

If the past 18 months have taught us anything, it’s there are a lot of folk out there operating on a double digit IQ.
