On Thursday, Sky Sports announced that Preston North End centre back had reportedly agreed to a pre-contract deal with Celtic and it pretty much seemed like it was only a matter of the club announcing the deal.

However, over the past few days, it has been revealed that this information isn’t true and has even come out today that Davies is on his way to English Premier League giants, Liverpool.

The man who announced it, Anthony Joseph has now released a tweet, correcting the information that Sky had received, saying that Davies had agreed personal terms but the deal was in fact not over the line.

This comes as a big frustration to the Celtic support in particular after believing that we would be securing a player who we have supposedly been targeting since the summer.

It is yet another missed target who will be making his way elsewhere and the club have failed to get this one over the line.

  1. This is turning into a total joke…..Good player either sign him on pre or sign him full stop…..We are back in The 80’s & its hurting so so much….We’re a joke….Years of success is been eroded away daily……We are in a very bad place & need to move players on with a New Manager to oversee everything….
P.S. Never forget Lads Lenny is a Celtic Legend but has to go now….
