SKY SPORTS journalist Anthony Jospeh has delivered an update on the future of Vinicius Souza with Celtic heavily linked with a move for the midfielder.
It’s a rumour and report that’s been doing the rounds for a month at this point and it looks increasingly unlikely Celtic will be the Brazilians destination.
Anthony reports two Spanish sides have submitted a loan bid to Lommel SK for next season.
Celtic are in the market for a ball winning midfielder who can also progress the ball and contribute to building on attacks. Souza was one of the players on a list of targets but the Hoops might need to look elsewhere.
The bhoys are in Austria and play their first friendly of the season against Weiner Viktoria on Wednesday. There’s plenty of time to land targets in key positions. It’s been a good summer for the bhoys so far. The double signing of CCV and Jota have been a signal of intent. Also the incomings of Alexandro Bernabei and Benjamin Siegrist have strengthened the side.
