Sky Sports co-commentator and pundit Andy Walker has made the assertion Celtic fans will again buy into the club this summer even though the board have treated them poorly this season.

What promised to be a historic season turned into a farce very quickly and when the support demanded change, the club doubled and tripled down on their decisions as if to show they would not be swayed by the vocal among our support.

There has been much talk about season ticket renewals and if supporters will go into their pocket before they know what next season will look like in terms of the manager and what exactly they’ll be paying for.

Last year’s season tickets sold themselves, it was full price for an initial TV sub which Celtic thought would only last until October before fans got in. We’re no in February and have no hope of getting into stadiums in the near future.

Celtic fans will know if they fork out a substantial amount of money again, they may just be paying for a very expensive TV subscription and if you are a household with more than one season ticket holder, it becomes almost reckless to renew at this point.

However, Walker believes Celtic fans will answer the call no matter what but says the support deserve more respect than they’ve been shown to date.

“I have no doubt that Celtic supporters will give up their money again. They will buy into the club, it’s their club, they support it through thick and thin.” Walker told Sky Sports as cited by SunSport.

“You’ll get season tickets renewed, and in huge numbers, but I think they deserve a wee bit more respect. What is happening?”

Walker getting stick from the supporters on a daily basis from many Celtic supporters is not lost on us as he defends them here.
